Ubidea Piparras Navarra Chilli Peppers, 180g
Piparras are long, thin chilli peppers that are pickled in wine vinegar. They are a speciality of the Basque region in northern Spain.
Also known as guindillas, these peppers are great with cheese and charcuterie. Their sweet-sour flavour works well with grilled meat and tinned fish.
Piparras are an essential ingredient in a Basque pintxo called a gilda. The pepper is skewered on a toothpick with a green olive and an anchovy. It’s a one-bite wonder, delicious with a cold beer.
Serve these tangy pickled peppers with Serrano ham or smoked cheese. They’re delicious on pizza or chopped finely for salads and sandwiches.
