Abido mixed thyme (mohawaj) zaatar is a nutty spice blend for seasoning your Lebanese dishes. Made of thyme, sesame seeds, anise, oregano and sumac, this light and aromatic mix has a mild acidity that cuts through the richness of meat dishes or creamy dips.
Use this thyme zaatar in your Middle Eastern cooking – stir it through olive oil, add a pinch to tomato salads or use as a dry marinade for lamb and fish. You can also sprinkle this spice blend over honey-glazed halloumi for a sweet and salty snack.
