Yutaka Dried Udon Noodles, 250g
Yutaka dried udon noodles are a versatile ingredient, which can be used in soups, stir-fries, or served cold in a noodle salad. To cook the noodles, simply add to boiling water and heat for 5-6 minutes, then drain.
These udon noodles are wide and flat, and have a pale creamy colour – they are much finer than chunky instant udon noodles, which are typically fatter and rounder. These dried udon noodles have a good bite, and add flavour and texture to broth, or noodle soups.
The Yutaka brand began life as a Japanese restaurant 35 years ago. They’ve fast become the leading supplier of Japanese restaurants gaining a reputation for authentic, flavoursome food which is reflected in the meaning of ‘yutaka’ – ‘good harvest.’
